As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £21,021 pro rata - Actual salary of £8,624 pa
Contract: Permanent
Hours/working pattern: 800 hours per year annualised - An annualised hours contract means that your salary will be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments but that the hours worked per month may vary. Your working patterns would mean more hours worked in summer and other busy times but less hours worked in winter. The contract would also mean working one day per weekend worked and most bank holidays. In reality this looks like:
- November to mid February 1 day per week
- Mid February to November 3 days per week, for example Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. However we are flexible as to which days you'll work, so talk to us at interview the days you are able to do.
A rare opportunity to join the welcome team at the National Trust site Brimham Rocks. Perched high on the hills above Nidderdale, Brimham Rocks is a strange and enchanting place. With a history going back millennia the rocks have a fascinating history and visitors come from far and wide to appreciate the site and surrounding countryside.
Based within the car park you will be joining a well established team welcoming and helping our visitors. The role involves greeting visitors, taking car park payments, selling National Trust membership and providing help and information and being the welcoming face of the National Trust. Though you'll be mainly outdoors we have an indoor space to keep warm and dry on those wet days, and a wood burner burning through the winter. It's cosy area for our team and and our visitors.

What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.
