Position: Welfare Officer

Tempest Resourcing is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-respected school in Hounslow. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Welfare Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of students, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing environment to thrive in.
- Provide one-on-one support and counseling to students with emotional, social, or behavioral issues.
- Develop and implement welfare plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Ensure the school complies with all safeguarding regulations and policies.
- Report and manage any safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.
- Promote and coordinate health and well-being initiatives within the school.
- Organize workshops and sessions on topics such as mental health, bullying, and resilience.
- Work closely with parents and guardians to address student welfare concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to families to help them support their children's well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to identify and support students in need.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to action plans.
- Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.
- Relevant qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student well-being.
