About Us

Would you like the opportunity to work in an agile and multi-disciplinary team?

The Well-being Navigator will act as an internal and external reference point to ensure sanctuary-seeking residents are able to access services within the council, statutory partners and voluntary and community sector (VCS). Services and activities will include well-being, welfare, educational, recreational and statutory. The focus is to signpost to other services, the postholder is not expected to provide expert advice.

This work will involve developing relationships with new and existing partners, offering support in a sensitive and trauma-informed approach to sanctuary-seeking residents and developing referral pathways to ensure the highest standards of service use.

If you are someone who has:

Detailed knowledge of how central government policy impacts different sanctuary-seeking cohorts including immigration, welfare, housing, education 

Experience of providing support to vulnerable individuals and families in a situation of transition and uncertainty and promoting fairness and equity through service delivery

A genuine passion to support vulnerable people

Energy to motivate and innovate

We are a newly established team in Adult Social Care and Public Health who approach an evolving policy area with positive energy and compassion for sanctuary-seeking residents. Our aim is to make the boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, no matter where you were born.

This role will be a hybrid of home and office-based working. You will be required to work from Richmond and Wandsworth Council.
