DWP is looking to fill a Wellbeing Contract Managerrole in the People and Capability Group. The role available will usually be based in one of the following hub locations: Blackpool (Peel Park), Leeds (Quarry House), Newcastle (Benton Park View), Sheffield (Kings Court), Cardiff, Treforest (Ty Taf). For jobs located in Wales, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable

This is an exciting, and at times, fast paced high profile role, providing critical timely support to the Senior Wellbeing Contracts Manager and Head of Wellbeing in managing the DWP Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Contracts and the Eye Care Contract and progressing the Wellbeing priorities within DWP as part of the DWP Health and Wellbeing Centre of Expertise team.
There is much variety to the role and a typical day may range from providing expert advice, guidance and support in addition to delivering specific Contract Management responsibilities and working with colleagues in the wider wellbeing team and our key stakeholders/partners to deliver effective Wellbeing interventions and support. The role will also have budget monitoring responsibilities.
The role also provides an exciting opportunity to engage with external partners and organisations.
Successful candidates can expect to be involved in a range of the following:
- Providing critical timely support to the Senior Wellbeing Contract Manager to manage the DWP Wellbeing Contracts including the DWP Occupational Health/Employee Assistant Programme – a high value/high volume contract, Eyecare and Ill Health Retirement contracts which provide essential support to the Department’s mental health, wellbeing, workplace adjustments and attendance management policies and procedures.
- Supporting the regular contract management review meetings with suppliers, analysing and interpreting management information/data, highlighting and escalating issues and risks to service delivery.
- Providing expert advice and guidance and working with colleagues in the wider wellbeing team and our key stakeholders/partners to deliver effective Wellbeing interventions and support.
- Supporting the accurate budget management for the contracts, monitoring spend, reporting and working collaboratively with Commercial and Finance colleagues.
