We provide wellbeing programmes to harness the therapeutic power of music in schools and community settings in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Wellbeing Practitioner roles may be suitable for those who are training to be a music therapists, or have developed skills through work at alternative education settings, Social Emotional Mental Health settings or specials needs settings with a particular wellbeing or therapeutic focus.
Employed hourly rates are currently £38.
Wellbeing Practitioners
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Experience and understanding in an ethos of practice that fosters wellbeing and promotes positive mental health through music
- Ability to support social, emotional and mental health needs that can be displayed across a range of presentations: physical, cognitive and mental health
- At least one year of experience facilitating wellbeing groups or projects
- High level of musical skill used within a wellbeing/therapeutic way of working
- An awareness and some knowledge of a trauma sensitive approach
- Extensive experience working with children and young people and adults
- Experience working with disabled young people and adults and those with additional needs
- A high level of skill in improvisation
- A commitment to enabling youth voice and autonomy
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development/training
- Current DBS certificate on the update service (if you are not on the update service we can arrange a new check)
