Are you fluent in Welsh and passionate about supporting children with Additional Learning Needs? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Barry, South Wales. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils, particularly those with autism, through the medium of Welsh.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help pupils to develop their social and communication skills.
- Collaborate with other staff members and parents/guardians to ensure the best possible support for pupils.
- Fluent in Welsh - essential.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with Additional Learning Needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
