Our client is seeking a candidate with extensive experience in development projects, focusing on building conversions, extensions, and planning permission applications. In addition to the qualifications and experience detailed in the attached job specification, the ideal candidate should be proficient in the tender process, managing contractors, and budget handling, especially for void and retrofit work to enhance EPC ratings.This role requires a balanced commitment of 50% on-site and 50% in the office. They are particularly interested in candidates from Social Housing associations or the Private sector, with experience differing from that in the public sector.Key competencies include strong technical skills, detailed budget tracking (including void work), unit condition monitoring, and defect identification. We need a professional individual with a diverse skill set, capable of assisting the Acquisition team in site inspection and budgeted void work at the early acquisition assessment stage, ensuring alignment with The WCC Temporary Accommodation Strategy. Potential candidates from companies like Lend Lease, Legal and General Investment Management, Grainger, Quintain, PGIM, M&G, LaSalle Investment, Savills Investment, Partners Group, Long Harbour, Octopus Investment, Quitain Living, etc. would be of particular interest.General:* Conducting safety inspections on void council properties* Reviewing plans and visiting sites before and during Void Works* Carrying out thorough property inspections once works are complete* Collaborating closely with contractors, planners and stakeholders* Staying up to date on industry standards and regulations* Ensuring health and safety compliance and risk management* Managing procurement processes and overseeing contractors* Hybrid working pattern* Reporting to the Senior Investment ManagerSkills1.
