We have a Great opportunity for a Policy Writer to join a small team of three world class Policy Writers to help shape the future and create a better experience across Risk & Compliance and HSBC.

Within the role you will also be required to prepare a Skelton of new polices from a blank canvas within Wholesale Credit Risk. You will also become acquainted with the existing policies, engage with 1st and 2nd line stakeholders, and identify any policy improvements or policy simplifications.

The role will require you to work closely with AI (Artificial Intelligence) to validate policies and procedures and be involved with continued developmental work within the AI space

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Policy Writer

In this role, you will: 

•    Provide creative policy coordination, input, socialisation and report on the Wholesale Credit Risk Management policy and applicable documents that are being reviewed and rewritten.

•    Work closely with SME to understand the key requirements and potential simplifications and efficiencies, then to translate these requirements into policy and/or applicable documents in an easy-to-read manner

•    Track multiple policy and applicable document changes to ensure consistency throughout both the Wholesale Credit Risk Management policy and applicable documents and other HSBC policies

•    Align and write future Wholesale Credit Risk Management policies within HSBC Mandatory Policies Framework and Risk and Control Framework

•    Manage individual policy drafting, review, endorsement, and approval processes under leadership of Head of Policy Development.

•    A Strong understanding of Wholesale credit risk 
•    Transformation knowledge 
•    An Appetite of AI (Artificial Intelligence) with the ability to lead the AI approach. 
•    The ability to write policy from a blank canvas, assess existing policies and reshape where applicable.
•    Solid awareness credit policy and business interlock

The base location for this role is London.
