Due to the continued growth of the business we are looking for someone who can do some or all of the below duties or has the following experience :
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our team in the Engineering Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with various woodworking machinery and tools including routers, circular saws, band saws, forma boards, grinding and screwing equipment.
The Wood Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery, accurately cutting and shaping wood pieces, assembling and packing cases, and providing assistance in the machine shop as needed.
Responsibilities of Wood Machinist
- Operate woodworking machinery such as routers, circular saws, band saws, and grinding equipment
- Cut and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Assemble and pack cases for transportation and storage
- Assist in the machine shop with various tasks as required
- Maintain and clean woodworking machinery and tools
- Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and tools
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Good physical stamina and strength for lifting and moving wood pieces
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Team player with good communication skills

Open from 7 am to 5.30, so flexible on start and OT available
