About the Role
- Manage incoming documents within an appropriate timeframe.
- Scan and save documents including e-mails into the workflow system.
- Code incoming documents within patient records & action to the clinical team.
- Participate in audit and contribute to quality improvements.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills across a wide range of media (face-to-face, telephone, in writing, electronically) and ensure that patients and visitors are always appropriately signposted to the relevant personnel and/or service.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience and a holistic approach to patient care whilst always behaving with professionalism, efficiency and resilience when faced with challenging situations.
- Work in accordance with the practice’s procedures & protocols, keeping accurate records of all patient interaction and demonstrating a clear commitment to attention to detail & quality.
- Understand the common needs and safeguarding issues of vulnerable patient groups and respond appropriately.
- Understand and work in accordance with the legal, statutory, ethical, and regulatory responsibilities of the practice and the NHS.
