Water Recycling?is at the heart of our?operations.?The key services that we are responsible for are?delivered by our?in-house, highly skilled workforce. We collect and treat the water that customers have used, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 kilometres of sewers which feed over 1,000 water recycling centres.
What you will be doing?
Reporting to the Treatment Manager, the Process Optimiser has a responsibility to ensure Water Recycling treatment processes and systems run as effectively and efficiently as possible and to identify and implement improvements. You will assist in the day to day running of sites across Lowestoft and surrounding areas- dealing with resource requirements and liaising with contractors. You will have a significant input to health and safety and will act as the "eyes and ears" of the Treatment Manager- this role is incredibly varied but very rewarding too!
Key duties include:
Proactively running sites across the region- working both tactically and strategically (planned and reactive work)
Coaching and supporting Work Technicians'
Using different technologies to analyse, interpret and examine data
Working collaboratively across various multi-disciplinary teams providing insight and support where needed
Optimisation of Sewage Treatment Works processes (including sludge treatment centres), using available tools (e.g. telemetry, sample data)
What does it take to be a Works Technician Process Optimiser?
Strong technical skillset- competent user of IT and knowledge of data analysis and interpretation
Good communication skills- both written and verbal, the ability to work with and influence different levels of stakeholders
Advocate of collaboration a team player who can work autonomously too
Self-starter with the drive to continuously improve and develop
A process industry/engineering experience would be ideal but is not essential
LTO/ALTO qualification is desirable
Flexible and positive attitude towards work
Full driving license
