The Role
Our client is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs.
They have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities; specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Introduction Workshop Production Manager
Responsible for the execution of manufacture, mechanical, piping & fabrication deliverables to achieve fully assembled Instrument Cabinets (464 in total) and supports.
Ability to adopt effective hands on management of all disciplines of the internal team against the activity programme and duration.
An experienced professional with a proactive approach within the workforce, ensure activity-based targets are met, identify any threats which may have an impact on delay / cost.
Ability to communicate with all stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Key Activities
- Ability to ensure QA/QC, HSEQ, Fabrication and General procedures and specifications are enforced within the facility.
- Ensure HSEQ on site internal & client meetings are controlled, safe working practices are enforced, potential improvement. compliant maintenance of the risk register, project plan is updated as necessary.
- Ensue sub-contractor RAMS, working tickets, qualifications are valid, Tool Box talks delivered, signed off.
- Monitor the procurement tracker to ensure material is delivered on a phased basis adhering to the programme activity.
- Log progress of assembly of Instrumentation cabinets and supports against the target.
- Generation of internal & external reports to provide full visibility to relevant stakeholder, to be target driven.
- Monitor sub-contractor performance, ensure specific procedures are.
- Ability to generate progress / status reports, providing full visibility to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure point inspection is carried out in a phased manner under procedure & specification, interface with internal team & client.

Role Profile
- Experienced Workshop Manager - pipe, mechanical, fabrication, production, inspection within a Workshop environment.
- Qualification: Trade certificate.
- Demonstrate proficiency within an Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Qualification: ECITB, NVQ level 3, ISOH Managing Safety.
- Ability to understand, read isometrics, content of typical work packs.
- Qualification: HNC/HND.
- Good Work Ethic, leadership & management qualities.
- Qualification: Leadership & Management Diploma.
- Excellent communicator & report writing skills.
