Our client, Bramley Engineering, are a family run business. Their core business offering is the design and manufacture of bespoke cranes and lifting equipment alongside conducting LOLER inspections and safety checks for various industries up and down the country.

The Opportunity:

Due to planned growth within the business Bramley Enginnering is looking for an experienced Workshop & Site Assistant to join the team based out of Leighton Buzzard.

As a Workshop & Site Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our Welder Fabricators and Lift Equipment Engineer in various tasks, including material preparation, assembly, maintenance, and organisation within workshop.

This is a full time, permanent position (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm) based from their business premises in Leighton Buzzard.

This role is due to start as soon as possible.

About you:

We are looking for candidates who are motivated, keen to learn and build their industry knowledge. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our projects and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

To qualify for this role you will bring the following skill set:

• A can do and willing attitude is a must!!
• Some hands on experience of maintaining, servicing and repairing or working with various pieces of lifting equipment
• Some hands on experience of welding & fabrication of steelwork (desirable)
• Carry out the necessary daily checks on machinery in the workshop
• Able to work unsupervised and make informed decisions
• Strong relationship building skills
• A good understanding of general engineering
• Open, honest and good with people to build respectful and long-lasting relationships with colleagues
• Full UK Driving Licence and happy to travel in and around London & South-East (further travel occasionally required) to assist with fabrication installations and Lift Equipment reviews.

Benefits:

We will provide you with the necessary tools you need and ensure you are equipped to complete the role successfully, including:

• £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications)
