Job Purpose
As Workshop Supervisor you shall be the primary point of contact for the workshop manager and to the projects for service and aftermarket activities executed in the workshop. You are responsible for the HSEQ activity in the workshop, schedule, planning and resources required for operating the workshop in a safe manner. You will lead a team of Workshop Technicians in a work centre located at a single shop facility to ensure that production and performance commitments are fulfilled. The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for supervising all activities in the workshop, including executing activities in a safe manner with a goal to deliver quality service on time and to achieve customer success.
Job Description
  • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned work tasks are performed in accordance with TechnipFMC policies and HSEQ requirements.
  • Report performance to the workshop Manager, including KPIs, and inform about business critical decisions to be made.
  • Lead by example, actively promote, and contribute to, a positive working environment with your colleagues within your team and towards your colleagues within other departments.
  • Manage and deliver maintenance services in compliance with TFMC Business Management System
  • Plan daily activity based on input from WS Planner
  • Monitor progress on ongoing activities in Workshop, report progress to WS Planner and WS manager
  • Ensure delivery within agreed time, quality and cost through effective workshop execution and in close cooperation with delivery teams
  • On request, provide services & support to other TechnipFMC bases & entities
  • Responsible for technicians in the workshop and to perform the PDD for all direct reports
  • Constantly improve and optimize more efficient ways for execution of workshop activity drive and constantly improve 5S and lean in the workshop
  • Responsible for training and mentoring of workshop technicians
  • Establish and maintain records of courses, competence records and certificates required for personnel and equipment in the workshop
  • Responsible for ensuring all workshop activity is scheduled and executed as required. For example: morning meetings, participate in project kick-off meetings, tool box talks, pre-job meetings and risk management meetings etc.
  • Follow up communication with LOF and projects for technical issues
  • Responsible for follow up 3rd part suppliers related to technical solutions TPIs and NDE
  • Responsible for follow up and perform CNF and Quality inspection
  • Assigning work packages and SO’s to workshop technicians
  • Follow up Synergies related to the workshop
  • Responsibility for following up calibration and recertification of workshop equipment
  • Responsible for reordering of Workshop Supply
You are meant for this job if:
  • High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma
  • Several years of experience in field and experience of leading a team
  • Good Knowledge of Surface Wellhead equipment, tooling and accessories
  • Good knowledge of refurbishment and recertification processes.
  • Understanding/knowledge of relevant and industry standards and operational issues, both local and international, and associated customer requirements.
  • Experience in using ERP systems (ie. SAP) would be preferred
  • Knowledge/use of integrated systems and more complex equipment and techniques (e.g FAT, SIT, Gas Testing etc.)
  • Passion to develop those within the team in accordance to company training/succession plans
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting and evaluating the accuracy of drawings and technical documentation in assembly
  • Knowledge/use of integrated systems and more tools, complex equipment and techniques
  • Willing to facilitate and implement improvements processes within area of responsibility
  • Contribute to continuous improvement throughout the value stream, to reduce lead time, improve quality, reduce cost and promote LEAN thinking
