Job description

Our client, based in Aberdeen, are looking for twoWorkshop Technicians on a permanent basis.
Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Workshop Technician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and assembly of various equipment and machinery in our workshop. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of workshop tools.
Assembly and Installation:
Assemble and install new equipment and machinery according to specifications and guidelines.Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and diagnose malfunctions or technical issues in equipment and machinery.Develop effective solutions to resolve technical problems and prevent future issues.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.Provide detailed reports on completed tasks, including any recommendations for improvements.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all repaired and assembled equipment meets quality standards and safety regulations.Conduct thorough testing and inspections to verify proper functionality.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other Workshop Technicians, engineers, and relevant departments to achieve common goals and objectives.Provide technical support to colleagues as needed.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.Proven experience as a Workshop Technician or similar role.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Proficient in using hand and power tools.Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
