The role
As an Electronic/ElectricalWorkshop Technician you will be responsible for preparing, testing and maintaining ROV systems, sub systems, assets and all associated equipment. Ensuring good safe working practices in the workshop and warehouse are upheld at all times.
Your main duties will include:-
- To ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism.
- To ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved.
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance, equipment repair and preparation as required on Fugro assets.
- Ensure all testing, operations and processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain all documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation in accordance with company processes/procedures.
- Implementation of all Workshop and IMS, HSE & QA procedures, work instructions, technical instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
- Regularly review HSE & QA procedures/processes/technical instructions to ensure they reflect current working practices.
- Continually seek the identification of new working methods and/or technology and/or cost reductions to improve performance.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained within the Workshop and responsible/assigned areas.
- Provide technical and operational support to meet business requirements as directed by Department Manager or Workshop Supervisor.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or modern apprenticeship at a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Previous hands on experience working with ROV Systems.
- The ability to analyse, fault-find and problem solve technical engineering problems
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- Forklift Operator
- Gantry Crane Operator
- Banksman
