About the role:
As an EMEA indirect Tax Specialist, you will assist with Worldpay EMEA indirect tax obligations.
What you will be doing:
- Assist with EMEA indirect tax compliance obligations, including managing relationships with external compliance service providers and reviewing indirect tax returns prepared by external service providers or in-house tax accountant.
- Ensure all systems across the business are set up correctly to record and report indirect taxes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new processes by working with various internal stakeholders.
- Review all indirect tax balance sheet reconciliations prepared by in-house tax accountant and ensure any journals are posted prior to period close.
- Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and tax authorities' approach and inform management of issues affecting Worldpay.
- Develop productive working relationship with different areas of the organisation including Legal, Billing, Finance, Accounting, Pricing, and commercial teams.
- 4 - 6 years of EMEA VAT experience, gained ether in-house or through a professional service firm
- Good understanding of generally accepted tax accounting principles
- Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
- Solid Excel skills
- Experience with Alteryx is a plus
