No history background? No problem. What is important to us is a passion for people and excellent customer service. We are looking for a Manager who enjoys working alongside their team and understands what it takes to deliver an engaging visitor experience to a diverse audience. You will play your part in helping visitors experience more of England's captivating past and preserve it for generations to come.

From world-famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, Roman forts to a Cold War bunker, we bring the history of England to life.
As Wrest Park Manager, you will know what makes a great visitor experience and will be able to inspire your whole team to deliver this across all stages of the visit. Through leading by example and coaching your team, you'll optimise every opportunity to generate income, achieving all site performance targets across retail, food and beverage, membership, community fundraising and venue hire. You will also ensure the site and facilities are clean and presentable, and welcoming visitors every time. The role will oversee the site-based gardens team as well as visitor operations, and will be working on projects that enhance the experience overall.
We are looking for someone who can bring their experience of providing excellent customer service within a leisure and tourism environment and strong staff leadership skills as well as being able to work independently. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and also be a confident communicator, having strong interpersonal skills with both visitors and colleagues. You'll be involved in engaging the local community and acting as site lead with local stakeholders (including tenants) about what's happening on site as well as ensuring that the site itself and its assets are safe and secure.
This is a full time, year round role. You will be required to work some weekends, Bank Holidays and New Year's Day, with occasional travel to other sites.
