About The Role
- You will be required to look for ways to improve our high standards of Health & Safety and also ways to make processes more efficient by reporting any hazards, near misses, incidents and accidents promptly and according to company reporting procedures.
- Be able to physically assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking Hiring items against paperwork, missing & damaged items and fuel charges.
- Carrying out post hires for equipment such as Road Ramps, Drips Trays etc.
- You will be required to assist other staff members with tasks as instructed, i.e. lifting, moving, in depot or on-site.
- Be able to clean hire equipment prior to entry to workshop, using pressure washing equipment and to be responsible for the organisation of the kit and the yard team to clean the equipment.
- You will need to be able to communicate accurately to your supervisor, work colleagues and customers re job specifications when required.
- Daily checks of the yard to ensure it is a safe working environment and identifying potential hazards and risks and removing and reporting, as required.
- Relay key information about movements on site (including toolbox talks) to the yard team and ensure it is being embedded into the ways of working.
- In your role you will be helping prepare ancillaries and accessories for all jobs going out on hire.
- You will carry out small deliveries and collections to or from customer’s sites, suppliers or within our branch network to agreed timelines
- Regular flexibility to support the team by working overtime as and when required by the business, this can include evenings and weekends.
Qualifications & Skills required:
- Previous work history within a similar environment
- Good communicator with a can do attitude.
- Experience working in a team with supervising experience preferred.
- Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
- Reliability is essential for this position.
- Computer Literate
- Physically fit due to the nature of the work within this role.
- Full UK Driving Licence
