SalaryDue to our continued growth, we are looking for a Yard/Warehouse Operatorto join a well-established, family-run SME based in Alton, Hampshire.You will join us on a full time, permanent basisand in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP26,000 per annum plus benefits.

About the Yard/Warehouse Operator role:
As a Yard/Warehouse Operator, you will ensure efficient operation within the depot, warehouse, and yard. Helping to meet customer requirements in supplying a correct and on time delivery service, whilst maintaining and improving the safe operation and performance of the depot.
Responsibilities as our Yard/Warehouse Operator will include:
- Assisting in the operational safety of loading/unloading vehicles in the depot
- Implementing operational best practices to improve customer service
- Goods In - checking and storing products, safely and securely with a stock rotation system is in place
- Goods Out - picking/packing/loading (incl. own- and third-party transport)
- Ensuring customer collections are ready with proper coverage of the Depot
- Monitoring picking bin stock levels to ensure there is sufficient stock
- Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse and yard.
- Ensure compliance with a stock rotation plan
- Complete stock checks, reporting on stock discrepancies/issues
- Maintain a working Return Merchandise Authorisation area in the depot
- Drive the delivery van as and when required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience we're looking for in our Yard/Warehouse Operator:
- Current Forklift/telescopic licence (preferable)
- Current clean, valid driving licence
- Transport traffic/geography knowledge of the area
- Product knowledge (preferable)
- Great customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- In this role, you will spend most of the time outside in the yard, so a love of the outdoors is essential.
