Job description

Step Teachers are working with a school that strives to create well-rounded, responsible individuals who seize opportunities, discover their passions and love to learn throughout life, to find a Year 1 Teacher to join their team from the 2nd of September 2024. The Year 1 Teacher will be supporting a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Primary level pupils. The Year 1 Teacher should be passionate and ready to engage with their students, contributing to the school's polite, friendly and safe educational atmosphere.

No ECT.

Year 1 Teacher- Role:

• Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
• Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
• Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Year 1 Teacher- Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
• Have recent experience as a Year 1 Teacher – Key Stage 1.
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
