Zest Education are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a hardworking team at a school based in Stirchley on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This position can start straight after the Easter holidays. and will be ongoing till the end of the academic year. As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and personal development of our students during this critical stage of their education journey. You will be required to:
- Plan appropriate work and organise the student education in line with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
- Assess, record, and monitor the progress of each student and report relevant information on their progress and attainment to parents/guardians and senior leaders.
- To ensure the maintenance of good order and promote good conduct among all students, in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
- Contribute towards the goals and targets in the school’s strategic plan.
- Create effective working relationships and lease with colleagues to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
- Establish and oversee an inviting, supporting, and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate with parents/guardians and senior leaders to discuss and monitor student's progress.
You must have:
- You must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working within an education-based setting or teaching KS1.
- Have a strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one.
- Have a genuine passion to help children achieve academic success.
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and active listening skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
