SalaryWe have a position available for a Primary Teaching Assistant at a lovely two-form entry school in Harborne, Birmingham. This role is part-time and is due to commence in the new academic year! As a part-time Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting in a Year 3 class three days a week (days can be arranged).

You will be required to:
- Aid the classroom teacher in preparing lesson materials and displays in the classroom.
- Effectively work with students to ensure they understand the task or work.
- Assist students in acquiring the ability to learn independently.
- Provide one to one support and small group support to children who require it.
- Helping on school excursions, trips and events.
- Motivate students to participate in class activities and engage with the class.
- Promote good pupil conduct and encourage students to take responsibility for their actions.
You will need to have:
- A good understanding of the Key Stage (KS1) curriculum and child development.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues/professionals.
- True passion and commitment to working with children and helping them achieve.
- Experience in a similar role or in an educational setting is essential.
- Enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Good teamwork skills and be able to work collaboratively and independently.
