Year 6 Teaching Assistant - Heysham

YEAR 6 - TEACHING ASSISTANT - HEYSHAM

A primary school in Heysham is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support on a one to one basus in their Year 6 class.

The position is full time, working 5 days a week, 8.20am until 3pm, Monday to Friday.

This role will be a one to one TA role, supporting a pupil with an EHCP, which will include working in small groups, one to one and supporting the class teacher to enable all pupils to access and engage in lessons and activities.

Duties will include:

• Preparing activities and lessons
• Delivering engaging sessions
• Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
• Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
• Supporting pupils with specialist needs and implementing IEPs
• Phonics

Teaching Assistant Key Information:

• Heysham area
• 5 days per week
• £13.00 per hour
• To start from ASAP

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
• Experience and knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Framework Stage)
• Behaviour management
• Phonics experience and knowledge
• Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
• Available full time for the duration of the assignment
