Job Description

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:

• As a Year Leader you will lead engaging and challenging Year 5 lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with Year 5 teachers to develop and share resources.
• Lead a team of 3 fellow year 5 teachers

Leadership and Management:

• As a Year Leader you will provide strong leadership and mentorship to the Year 5 team.
• Conduct team meetings to review progress and address challenges.

Student Progress and Assessment:

• Monitor and assess student progress, implementing necessary interventions.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and concerns.

Pastoral Care and Wellbeing:

• Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Address behavioural or emotional issues promptly, liaising with the pastoral team.

Extra-Curricular Activities and School Events:

• Organize and participate in extra-curricular activities and school events.
• Coordinate trips, assemblies, and special projects to enhance student experience.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous professional development and share knowledge with the team.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay current with educational best practices.
