Job Description
Title: You Matter Coach (Ryde IOW)
Reports to: Quality Assurance Lead
Salary: 7 hours per week Hourly rate £13.30.
This post is funded by The Leathersellers Foundation and Reaching Communities Fund from National Lottery to help us to support young people on their journey with us so that they lead lives free from harm and insecurity.
Main purpose of the post:
To be a member of the You Matter team at Yellow Brick Road Projects
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To prepare, plan and deliver You Matter programmes.
- To support learners to prepare for external accreditation and complete all necessary assessment and documentation.
- To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of this high-quality programme.
- To be the “shop window” for YBRP to role model and present the organisation in a professional and proactive manner.
- To maintain accurate records/paperwork including schemes of work, sessions plans, course attendance and recording of individual leaners’ progress and achievement.
- To assist in the support and mentoring of new volunteers known as Peer Supporters, learning support assistants and support in-service training appropriate to tutors.
- To assist in the recruitment of learners and publicity of courses on offer.
- To attend staff meetings and undertake appropriate training opportunities consistent with developing skills relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the post.
- To work in collaboration with the Accreditation and Programme teams, as required, contributing to quality initiatives including self-assessment reporting.
- To maintain an awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations.
- To have a high level of awareness of Safeguarding and its implications to the learners
- To maintain own continuing professional development.
- To carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the post.
