Bank Specialist Support Worker - Durham

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role

The Role

National Care Employer of the Year is looking for specialist support bank workers to join the team in a specialist transitions project in the County Durham area.

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will provide additional supervision and support to help young people live their lives safely and help them to acquire essential life skills i.e., understanding benefits, budgeting, cooking, and accessing education or training.

Hourly Rate £12.18 per hour plus £50 per sleep.

Shift information

Support Worker bank shifts include, waking nights, evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays, and sleepovers.
Flexibility is required due to the nature of the job.
Sleep-in allowance is paid.

The Transitions team is a small team and due to the growth of the service, requires the addition of a bank Support Worker to assist them.

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)

A driving licence and access to a vehicle

Previous experience of working with: Children, 16-18 years old; youth offending; care leavers; substance/alcohol misuse or applicable life experience.

Candidates must be committed to the role and flexible as will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends and some nights as part of a rota.
