My Client, an International bank in the City, seek a client coverage/Loan Syndication banker, to join their broader Corporate Banking team in London.
- The primary role of the RM is to work with the Team Head to market and bring on board qualifying business opportunities in line with budget, risk appetite, risk return measures, policies, procedures, regulations and strategy.
- The RM will act as the first contact of the bank in building and managing the clients’ relationship within the bank.
- Assisting Team Head for the marketing, client meeting, preparing pitches, presentations, etc. as required.
- Preparing credit applications, including customer credit risk analysis and business risk analysis, to present to both UK and HO credit committees.
- The role wil be in the bank’s 1st Line of Defence and will require on-going reporting & monitoring of clients, including both quarterly & annual reviews, financial covenants review, waiver request processing and overall post loan monitoring.
- To work with other internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all risk monitoring including taking responsibility for managing client AML risk.
- To engage with colleagues globally, including with colleagues in Mainland China, to maximise business opportunities with the bank’s clients as well as completing necessary risk management reporting.
- Maintaining a keen interest and awareness of market trends in international business including trends and events in the UK and Global corporate banking market.
- Completing other tasks as required by other department leaders.
Required experience :
- Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in banking or related finance industry.
- Solid credit management experience within Corporate Banking.
- A good understanding of corporate financing activities and products and services and the recognition and understanding of how to manage business development within a risk based framework;
- Good understanding of the risks involved with managing Corporate Banking clients.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations and clients, whilst working under pressure, across multiple projects and to tight deadlines.
- Good team player and willingness to support the wider team to meet the bank’s objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on identifying key risks and articulating and explaining them clearly and concisely.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal skills in both English and Mandarin, with Mandarin skills a pre-requisite of the role.
