Leaving Care- Outreach
Leaving care Support Workers offer support to some of the most vulnerable young people in society. Bedspace outreach team support the transition from the care system to independence within community outreach settings.
We ensure all our young people have the tools they need to live independently and become a positive part of society. We do this through our work with the ASDAN resettlement training system which is embedded into the work we carry out with our Young People.
Bedspace utilises a relationship-based approach to our support delivery to work through traumatic events that the Young Person may have experienced. Bedspace has a unique approach to service delivery and support that takes a holistic view of delivering support.
We follow a person-centred approach to support delivery.
Due to the areas this role covers a car driver with a vehicle is essential.
About you
You will have a genuine passion for this sector, looking to make a difference with our service users and will be looking for a challenging but rewarding role.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience working with Young Vulnerable Adults 16+
- Travel is essential so must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business use
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal skills
- Conflict Resolution Skills
- An understanding of working with Multi Agencies
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification
