Youngstock/Calf Rearer

We have varied working role available from early June 2024.

Based on a high yielding, high performing, 500-cow dairy herd in West Sussex. We are looking for an enthusiastic stockperson with experience of calf rearing to take the overall responsibility for the unit’s calf rearing operation, rearing around 200 heifers a year from newborn to weaning.

This will suit someone with a high level of attention to detail, who is not afraid to pick up a broom when necessary.

Brilliant facilities with a purpose-built calf unit; a 4-point Forster auto feeding station within an igloo style housing system.

There will be additional varied youngstock and dairy cow work on the unit for which training will be given.  There is also the opportunity for assisting with the TMR feeding on the unit.
