Youth Development Officer

£32,191 - £33,829 per annum, 37 hours per week

2 years fixed term contract

Are you passionate about empowering and inspiring young individuals to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Development Officer to join our team and make a difference to our local communities.

This is your opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative programs and initiatives that promote personal and social development and much more.

You will become fluent in the Youth Needs Assessment, understanding the pressures facing the youth sector, working to tackle the barriers faced by young people, creating, and fostering positive relationships.

You will be working internally with the Council and its partners to advise officers and members about what actions they can take to enable greater youth engagement.

You will need

  • Proven experience of engaging with young people in a supportive and empowering role.
  • Experience of designing and delivering projects or community-based activities with and for young people.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent track record of collaborating with others to achieve goals, preferably in a strategic role.

Special conditions

  • There may be a requirement to work at other Publica Group (Support) Ltd and/or client locations to meet the needs of the business
  • You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Ability to travel/ access to a vehicle for work purposes
