Youth Justice Service Officer – Oxfordshire County Council

Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Youth Justice Service Officer
Rate – Negotiable
3/6 months Contract
You will have a sound understanding of child development, criminogenic risk and need, and Youth Justice statutory requirements around public protection.
You will be an experienced practitioner with the ability to pick up a case-load and work effectively in a range of professional environments, including Court.
To be considered for this opportunity you will have a Level 5 qualification/recognised professional qualification (or equivalent) in a related subject: Youth Justice, education, youth work, health, probation, prison service, police, OR a Professional Social Work Qualification.
You will also have:
- Experience of direct work with children, young people, families, and the community
- Experience of carrying out assessments of need and risk of children and young people
- Knowledge of legislation, standards and practice frameworks relating to Youth Justice
- Experience of developing and delivering strengths-based intervention plans
- Experience of providing support to young people and colleagues in relation to a range of sensitive and complex issues
- Experience of delivering programmes and projects
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Direct Youth Justice practice
- Use of Asset plus assessment and planning framework
- Use of Child view (or equivalent) recording system
- Experience of high-risk complex case-management
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3/6 months
Salary: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
