Tradewind Recruitment is actively searching for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Worker in a Special Educational Needs school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with various learning difficulties in a special educational needs setting.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement personalised education plans and adapt learning strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the academic, social, and emotional development of children.
- Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with the teaching team and parents/guardians.
- Contribute to a positive and caring atmosphere, promoting the overall well-being of students with learning difficulties.
Requirements:
- Qualified and experienced Support Worker, preferably with a background in special educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting children with diverse learning difficulties.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of a special educational needs school and work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of best practices in supporting children with learning difficulties.
