You will be part of team delivering a range of youth work and nature-based learning services across Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton and New Forest. As a Youth Support Worker your role will be to support, develop and engage children and young people to develop their social and emotional capabilities and emotional wellbeing, improve their engagement with learning and to stay safe.
You will be involved in supporting the delivery of centre based and detached youth work providing diversionary activities and
informal learning opportunities, open-access play sessions, holiday clubs and nature based learning sessions.
This role requires you to be confident, creative and able to adapt to a variety of environments. Training, including safeguarding, health and
safety, risk assessment, outdoor learning delivery and behaviour management will be provided.
Regular evening work will be part of the role.
- Summer Placements – Paid, full or part time 8-week placement from 8th July – 30th August 2024.
- Year-long Placements – Paid, full or part time (minimum 25 hours per week) placement; available start dates July or September 2024
