Our client school, located in the Basildon area of Essex, are seeking a talented candidate to support the academic ahcievment and wellbeing of pupils with social emotional, mental health and behavioural needs.

The successful candidate might come from a range of backgrounds including youth work, school based support roles or other relevent sectors, but will ideally have experience of supporting pupils with Emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD) and or Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support to young people, providing encouragement and inspiring confidence!
• Develop and implement engaging educational programs to address the unique needs and interests of pupils
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages personal, academic and social development
• Experience of supporting any of the following needs would be an advantage:
  ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Autism (ASD) Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD / EBD)
  Challenging Behaviour, global Development Delay (GDD) or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  The successful candidate will:

• Have a passion for improving the educational and life chances of children and young people
• Be able to support individual pupils as well as small groups of pupils
• Be a positive role model and offer encouragement and promote confidence
• Assist with the planning of learning activities
• Help with classroom preparation
