Youth Worker

Working closely with the BGCA designated trustee and Berkshire Youth Team, you will design and implement programmes that address the diverse needs of youth promoting community engagement and facilitating partnerships to enhance overall community wellbeing.

you will be design implement and evaluate age appropriate programmes and activities to meet the developmental needs of the youth, provide guidance and support to youth participants fostering personal growth leadership, skills and a sense of community.

You will be expected to work in the community develop relationships with local schools and connect with partners to create a cohesive youth offer. To include establishing a mentoring programme to connect young people with positive role models.

You will collaborate with the BGCA trustees to identify and support volunteers to become engaged within our services and provision. You will collate a range of data, information and imagery that creates evidence of your work and the impact it is making not only to young people but also to the wider community.

There is scope for you to be creative in this role and make a significant difference to the young people you work with. This is a very exciting and varied role and as such, a flexible approach to work including willingness to take on tasks outside of the normal remit and to work irregular hours, is essential in this role.
