Salary1:1 SEN Student Support Assistant - Oxted
We are looking for a Student Support Assistant to join a very welcoming team, within an SEN school, which supports pupils between 4-19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.
You will provide individualised needs for a student for which full training will be provided. You will be responsible for enabling the student's learning, promoting their independence, and helping them achieve. You will need to be a confident advocate, recognising the potential of the individual and championing their needs along with possessing exceptional communication skills and patience.
Some of the roles will include a substantial amount of moving and handling and personal care.
Requirements
- Full time Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 16:30
- A substantial amount of moving, handling and personal care
- Although experience of complex physical and medical needs is not essential, as comprehensive training is provided, an aspiration to enable students to learn and achieve meaningful independence is.
- An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service (we can support you if you do not have one in date)
