The Triage Operations Team:
Bloomberg's Triage Operations team sits at the heart of the Bloomberg technology Platform, owning the 24/7 front-line application support for all Engineering applications including software roll out, general troubleshooting, and escalation of error conditions. We hire creative engineers and technology enthusiasts who enjoy being challenged by problems of scale and complexity, with a strong desire to make services better both for coworkers and end-users.
You'll be part of a highly creative, dynamic, and innovative team environment that provides 24x7x365 coverage within our Bloomberg offices. You'll work closely with various groups including system administration, application development, and Site reliability engineering (SRE) teams. You will be integral to the design, implementation, and support of operational procedures on different hardware Platforms that make up the Bloomberg Computer environment. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in special projects such as designing, testing, and implementing processes that the operations staff handles.
Eligibility criteria:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 - 9 in any subject (Should include Maths & English)
- Three A-levels with grades (predicted or achieved) CCC (or equivalent)
- Learners must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
- Possess the right to work in the UK
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
- Foundational knowledge of technology processes and systems, such as popular operating systems and software applications. Plus, an eagerness and aptitude to learn new technologies.
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to work independently and as part of a larger global team
- Careful attention to detail, with an aptitude for process-oriented work, speed and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
