Our client is a reputable insurance law firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting a 5-10 PQE Healthcare Solicitor with strong large loss and/or clinical negligence experience. The firm offers a competitive salary, hybrid working and clear progression opportunities.
Your new role
This Healthcare Solicitor position will see you handle your own caseload of defendant litigated and pre-litigtaed clinical negligence and large loss files on behalf of insurer clients. You will be asked to advise insurers and other corporate clients, adhere to court deadlines and manage files in accordance with clients' SLA's. Along with your own caseload, you will be asked to assist partners on higher-value complex claims where required. This role will see you responsible for forensic review/analysis of relevant court documents where you will be asked to assess liability, quantum and causation.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor/CILEx with 5-10PQE. Strong experience of large loss and/or clinical negligence claims is essential. You must have experience appearing in the Sheriff court and as an instructing agent in the Court of Session. Experience of litigation in the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court is essential.
