Brightsparks, an industry-leading digital marketing agency specialising in behaviour change for social good, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage a strategic portfolio of accounts. These clients span across organisational review consultancy, employer brand recruitment and net zero carbon reduction sectors with large charity and public sector clients.


This role is perfect for an Account Manager with experience operating in a digital agency environment or across sectors such as health, social care, charity, NHS or net zero. The role will be a permanent contract at 35 hours per week.


The role will work on a hybrid basis with dedicated time required each week in our York city centre office as well as opportunity for remote working too. All of the projects that role will touch will be social purpose projects so this represents a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in people's lives every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To project and account manage external client relationships ensuring that BSA meets and where possible exceeds our contractual obligations.
  • To support the onboarding of new clients.
  • To plan, commission and develop creative, content and supporting collateral elements relating to client requirements.
  • To provide effective leadership, management and accountability (LMA) to a varied team of staff and contractors.
  • Manage a varying account portfolio whilst developing and nurturing collaborative relationships with client stakeholders.
  • To drive forward innovation and continuous improvement in client programmes.
  • To project manage all client deliverables in line with BSA’s standard operating procedures and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain a high-level of performance meeting agreed targets and KPI’s.
  • Financial management of agreed client budgets, staffing budgets and outsourcing budgets.
  • To support BSA’s business development activities.


Required Experience:

  • 3 years account/relationship management with at least 1 years of account management experience
  • 3 years experience successfully delivering digital, and/or marketing and/or brand projects in agency settings.
  • 1 years experience of staff management.
  • 3 years experience briefing and commissioning digital, creative and marketing specialists.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • York: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


Expected start date: 01/02/2024


Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on experience)


Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Customer Success
