The experienced Account Manager is the main point of contact for the company s key customers and will likelely to have an Engineering backgroud. The Key Account Manager has the responsibility to address customers needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service Experience of working ifor a Automotive or Truck component maufacturer would be an advantage
Account Management
Maintain and develop relationships with all relevant contacts within the customers. Primarily Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Project management and Service
Obtain future significant changes in demand and up-date forecast build information on a monthly basis
Manage product changes (outside of NPI projects)
Warranty Analysis Assist Quality department in the analysis of returned parts and assist for the formulation of the offer to be made to the customer
Construct/Maintain customer application charts and listing of contacts
Assist with the compilation and publication of accurate forward demands from the customer
Support Customer Service Planners to help resolve supply issues
Customer concerns present the concern internally and work with the relevant departments to resolve the issue.
Participate in FMEA s to support Engineering, Project Manager and Production Engineering
Conduct margin analysis and give visibility within the Company to investigate the relevant actions to resolve
Support PCR activities on behalf of sales
Secondary Responsibilities:
Business Development
Ensure all sales and new business opportunities are captured and explored:
Development of new products by the customer
Identify new opportunities to increase our share/profitability of our business.
Raise and develop Sales Enquiry Form with the customer and present internally Participate as a team member within NPI projects
Specific responsibilities:
Support the Programme Manager on all commercial issues pricing and terms & conditions
Set up and participate in project reviews with the customer
RFQ s manage the response to the customer
Set timing for collecting the responses
Assist in the identification of potential suppliers and obtaining costs of components
Set/agree margin, prepare quotation
Meet quotation date within the agreed time frame with the customer
Additional duties
Cost down activities:
Take part in cost down projects to identify opportunities and help deliver the savings to the agreed time plan.
Assist in any other related activity defined by the Sales Director

Maintaining Customer relationships and production of visit reports

Person Specification
Specific Qualifications:
Ideally have a Degree in an Engineering discipline
Previous Work Experience:
Commercial experience gained preferably within the Automotive/Truck Industry or related industry
At least 5 years experience of managing an account, dealing with OEM s or VM s across many disciplines and with a range of management levels
Additional Information:
Must possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel extensively within the UK and Europe

25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays.
