About the job
To conduct daily sales visits to AMI's customer base with a view to promoting the company's products and tariffs. As the bridge between the company and its customers, you will be responsible for managing a number of existing client accounts and also expanding the business by acquiring new clients. Maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts, maximising sales opportunities within them.
Office is based at Manchester World Freight Terminal
RequirementsMain accountabilities include:
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with all existing clients.
- Ensuring all existing clients have their specific needs met.
- Using tools available to secure new business throughout AMI's entire product range.
- Resolving customer issues and liaising with the Customer Service Team where required.
- Meeting with clients face-to-face.
- Promoting the business by up-selling or cross-selling to existing clients.
- Identifying opportunities for business growth and hitting monthly sales targets.
- Playing an active role in sourcing and on-boarding new clients.
- Monitoring and reviewing business support from assigned customer base.
- Operating as the central point of contact for assigned customers.
- Following up on new leads or lost business in a timely manner.
- Gathering feedback relating to market rates, competitor activities and service satisfaction.
- Administrative tasks as required.
- Any other reasonable request.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Sales experience essential, preferably within the Airfreight Industry.
- Ability to discuss and negotiate complex issues in a clear manner.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to create and develop loyalty among AMI's customer base.
- Ability to work within a targeted and sometimes pressurised environment.
- A high degree of initiative and self-sufficiency with good time-management abilities.
- Ability to keep track of tasks.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
