Post No. FS545 - Accountancy Assistant - Systems
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated person for this post within the Central Accountancy Systems team. Reporting to the Systems Integrity & Development Manager, your role will involve:
The upload of data files to the Councils financial ledger to meet period end deadlines, assisting end users and reconciling key system control accounts.
The ongoing reconciliation and review of payroll holding accounts.
Assisting with vat processes.
Responding to user system helpdesk queries and assisting with system admin tasks.
The raising of Accountancy i-procurement requisitions and orders.
You will have good communication skills and need to demonstrate an apitude for IT, with advanced spreadsheet and/or database knowledge and be able to prioritise demanding workloads to meet tight deadlines and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
You should have a minimum of 5 GCSE's including English And Mathematics and preferably be studing for or have attained foundation level AAT or equivalent
