Accountant

Equifind have partnered with a global Private Equity group to assist them with their search for an Accountant to join their London team based in the City by St. Pauls.

The firm is a leading a mid-market private equity firm (>£30 Bn AUM). It's an established, successful business with offices globally with an excellent track record and diverse investment portfolio. The new Accountant will crucially not sit in core finance but report to the Head of Finance for the transactions and portfolio monitoring team.

The total finance team is 25 strong. They have a great name in the market and low staff turnover, great culture, open and honest. Seeking someone who wants to be hands on, top to bottom role and is ambitious.

Key Duties Include:

• The team is 3 accountants and the Head of Finance and is responsible to deal closings and then operating the parent entities of our investments
• The role is broad and will cover management & Statutory accounting, preparing various types of tax returns (CT, VAT and WHT), accounts payable (processing and helping to improve its automation), cash flow management and payroll.
• The candidate can also expect to get involved in co-sec, deal closing and controls process work streams.
• The role is very hands on and the candidate can expect to get great management support from the team in developing their skills & proficiency.
• Reporting into the different investment group companies, liaising with Heads of and CFO’s on a daily basis
• Manage audit process, treasury, loan calculations
• Projects and automation, the firm has a constant drive to automate and reduce manual work in favour of value add
• Role is 4 days per week in the office.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (preferably trained in an audit in a top 50 firm)
• A minimum of 3 years experience within an audit/finance function

Compensation:

• Base salary of £60,000 -65,000
• Annual bonus, commensurate with company and individual performance
