Job description
Purpose and Function of Post: To support the Assistant Director of Corporate Service & Finance and the Finance Managers as appropriate in leading, developing, maintaining and operating the Council's financial management and reporting systems, management accounting and reporting systems and transactional functions and systems. The preparation, submission/publication and management of the Council's statutory and other financial returns/calculations, including Rate Estimates, VAT Returns, Landfill Tax Returns, Construction Industry Scheme Returns, Partial Exemption Calculation, Performance Indicators, etc. Promoting an exemplary system of financial management throughout Council consistent with the high levels of governance demanded by Council.
