Accountant

We are currently working with a college who are looking for an Accountant on a three-month temporary to permanent basis to be based out of their Enfield site.

The role is due to start as soon as possible and the permanent salary on offer is £47,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be an enhanced DBS holder and have experience working throughout the education sector.

Duties will include (but are not limited to): 

• Providing useful and relevant management information to the five key budget holders 
• Assisting with the preparation of company cashflow forecasts, reporting and budgeting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and overseeing Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submissions to HMRC
• Processing month and year end journals, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Carrying out year-end reconciliations when required
• Assisting with all aspects of Financial Accounts as and when required

Experience and skills required:

• Experience working in the public sector, including Education and Not-for-Profit
• Experience of both Financial and Management Accounting
• Fully qualified/part-qualified Accountant

Working hours:

• 35.00 hours per week 
• Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm
