Bookkeeping Assistant

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and transactions.
• Ensure all financial data is recorded in the accounting software in a timely and accurate manner.
• Organise and file financial documents for easy retrieval and reference.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
• Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the finance manager.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
