Our client is a leading Jewish charity with Head Offices located in London. They are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their team and work closely with the Financial Controller to manage the finances of the organisation.This position is part time, 30 hours a week to be worked over 4 days (Monday - Thursday).Candidates should hold a relevant accounting qualification such as the AAT or be part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have experience in using accounting software (ideally QuickBooks) in order to apply for this position.Duties will include; Daily recording of income and expenses Assisting with management accounts Accruals and prepayments Daily recording of income and expenses Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards Sending invoices and receipts to donors/grantors where requested Sending monthly invoices for service users' contributions Loading payments for all invoices onto banking platform on a weekly basis Ensuring monthly actuals are uploaded correctly each month including correct allocation of income and expenses as well as any necessary journals Applying for Gift aid where appropriate Producing reports on donations and spending Producing reports on spending allocated to specific projects ensuring robust recording of grant income and updating expense actuals Producing budgets for grant submissions Maintaining the fixed asset registerFabulous opportunity for an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to join an established charity who do wonderful work in the community.
