Semi Senior Accountant

Salary - up to GBP30,000

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week

Fully office based

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly, well-established, family-run accountancy firm with offices across the East Midlands. Due to company expansion, they are currently looking for an experienced Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in Ilkeston.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete Annual Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
• Complete Corporation Tax Computations (CT600s).
• Assist with Personal Tax Returns.
• Support client bookkeeping and VAT Returns.
• Handle Company Secretarial Work.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for clients.
• Resolve client queries directly and efficiently.
• Conduct bank and sheet reconciliations.

Requirements:

• Experience working within the accountancy profession is essential.
• Ideally part/fully qualified AAT, or part qualified ACCA/ACA.
• Qualified by experience individuals are also welcome to apply.
• Minimum of 3 year's experience within a small/medium-sized independent accountancy practice.
• Proficient in IT skills.
• Sage knowledge.
• IRIS experience (desirable).
• Payroll experience (desirable).
• Tax Experience (desirable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
