Due to further growth and success, we are delighted to offer this progressive role with this family feel accountancy practice located locally in Banbury. We are looking for an experienced ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant where you will be managing a client portfolio, reviewing accounts, audit files, VAT returns, management accounts and basic tax returns, working alongside a very close, supportive, and established team. The company are known for their client service and expertise.
Your main responsibilities as the Practice Accountant will be
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ranging from one-man bands to multimillion-pound limited companies across multiple industry sectors
- Conduct thorough reviews of VAT, accounts, and basic tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Utilise your audit experience to oversee and execute audits for our clients across various industries
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient client service delivery
- Develop strong client relationships through effective communication and excellent client-facing skills
- Lead and empower the team, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development
Experience, skills and attributes required for the Practice Accountant
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-5 years post-qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing client portfolios and reviewing accounts, VAT, and basic tax returns
- A team player with exceptional leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and empower team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
